First, you have to decide that this is the right person for you to marry. Once that decision is made, then there are ALL the decisions on what kind of wedding, how many guests, what kind of cake and on and on. Then, after all that is over, do we buy a house or continue renting? What about our jobs? Next, kids? If so, when? Then, the biggest decision of all…what to name that child!
Yes, we are in that dilemma again. For our first child (code named Colt for this blog), it was difficult. Do you go with a name that reflects the heritage of the parents? Joe is half Italian and half Ukrainian. Me…who knows. Do you go with popular names? What if you choose a name and the sonogram was wrong?!
So here we are again. This time it is a girl (praying the sonogram is correct). Joe said that last time he had TONS of girl names and no boy names and now it is the opposite. We could agree on boy names but were at a loss for girl names.
Yes, we (I) had a girl name that I like and finally convinced Joe that it was acceptable. He even started calling our baby by this name. THEN, we find out that people we know had animals with this name. Even a popular new movie had the main character as this name. I started to second guess our decision. So we prayed about it (gulp, we should have done that first like we did with our son).
With a little more than 2 months to go, the jury is still out but I think we are hearing confirmation of a name.
Rev. 2:17 …I will also give him a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to him who receives it.
Excited to find out what this name is!!!
