I finally took a quick look at my blog and couldn’t believe that I hadn’t posted in almost a month. No wonder I don’t have people following my blog on a regular basis. I also have a blog for work (internal only) and have a hard time keeping up with that as well.
I have so many thoughts but I will post a few and I promise to update more regularly. Pictures to follow in the next post.
1. Thanksgiving was great! We had a few built-in babysitters for a couple of days (Thanks MaryJo and Janet!) and my brother-in-law David also graced us with his presence. We did our gift exchange at Thanksgiving (actually, Colt got a lot of gifts as the adults decided not to give each other gifts that we probably didn’t need anyway).
2. We had our annual pictures taken again. I will put a plug in here for Portrait Innovations. If you ever need to have photos taken, this is the place. In and out quickly and you have plenty of options on photos to choose from AND they give you a CD with all your photos so you can print them off at any time. This year was hard as I made the appointment later than last year (last year we did it earlier in November and this year it was after Thanksgiving) so it was extremely crowded and we had to wait longer than normal. BUT the photographer that we had, Lacy, was great and gave us a few free extras since we had to wait so long.
3. Colt and I went with our friends Alycia and Zack to the Christmas Parade in downtown Dallas. It was a little cold but so much fun! If you have children I would highly recommend taking a trip to the parade. All of Colt’s favorite characters were there including Bob the Builder, Dora the Explorer, Toot and Puddles, and so many more. He loved the firetrucks and police cars in the parade shouting out each time they were coming toward us.
More to come later and I do promise more regular posts.
BTW, don’t forget to vote on the poll to the right!
it's about time you're back on here!! missed reading about you & the family
