Changing it up

For the first time, I can’t think of one thing to write about. Maybe it is because I am so tired. Maybe it is because life is going well.

So in exploring the new gadgets that can be added to a blog, I decided to put a poll question on the blog. Each week I will post a new poll and discuss the results on my blog entry.

If you have a question that you would like for me to post, leave a comment or send me an email.

In a previous post, I talked about your treasure. I have been thinking a little more about this and as our sermon last week was on the topic of stewardship versus ownership, I feel the need to delve a little more into this.

I can quickly list out those things that are important to me:
– relationship with God
– Husband
– Child
– Family
– Job
– Friends
– Home

I then consider whether I treat each one as an owner or as a steward. In other words, which do I imagine that I am actually in control of versus those that I manage?

– God: not sure how to answer this one
– Husband: I believe that this is truly a stewardship. I do not take for granted the fact that I was given a husband that is more that I deserve. We work out issues together. We can truly share our feelings without embarrassment or hurt. I know that I cannot change him; that is up to God.
– Child: The only way that I will make it through the toddler and teenage years is by handing him over to THE ONE that is able to love him even when I am pulling my hair out.
– Family: Address this at another time.
– Job: I have to say that I am torn on this. I know that I only have my job because of the Favor that was given to me, but I know that I have a tendency to push forward and make decisions that are on my own.
– Friends: Address this at another time.
– Home: This is also a mixed bag. Address this at another time.
