After a rough start to the week (I ended up home sick 3 days last week), I was able to recover from the virus just in time for the 4th of July weekend.
I have to say that this was the most relaxing and restful weekend I have had in a LONG TIME. On Thursday, July 3, we went to see the Plano Community Band in the town park. They played a patriotic tribute to America and to our surprise, we found out that they play every Monday night during the summer, FREE to the public. I would highly recommend finding a community band in your area to enjoy the sounds of summer.
Friday morning, July 4, we went to see the Fourth of July parade in our town. What a wonderful tribute to the military men and women that serve our country! It was an honor to see them in uniform riding down the street with applause from those watching from the side of the street.
Pictures to come, but I had a few minutes to post so I thought I would share the joy of being an American.
