Reasons for not posting recently

I have been told by some unnamed sources (Uncle David being one) that it has been a while since I have posted anything. It is good to know that at least one person is reading the latest happenings here in Dallas. 🙂

Actually, I know there are others because as we traveled to WV and PA for a family visit (yes, that is one reason for not posting more often), I was told that the only pictures I send to people are on my blog. I am working on that issue.
So here goes on the latest updates.
1. We made our annual trek to PA and WV to visit family. I remember commenting on how Colt was getting over his cold he picked up last year from the visit. Not to dissapoint us this year, not only did Colt pick up a virus, but Joe and I also were the wonderful recipients of the gift. Colt’s cousin (named Stormy by her grandpa) visited Granny and Pap’s house the first night and was up vomiting and has diarrhea. It was then passed to Granny, then on to aunt Mandy, then Joe (my husband), then Pap, then to aunt Lois, then to Colt (up vomiting and diarrhea on Friday night), then on to me. YES, Stormy is definately learning to share things from her daycare.
2. The trip to PA included a visit with Colt’s sister (K) and Joe’s family.

3. Highlights from the trip to WV include:
My niece Maycee playing in the sudden rain/hailstorm that came Monday evening.
Oh yeah, the hailstorm and rain came while we were trying to put together a swingset for the kids. I won’t mention how many times the men had to reassemble parts after putting them on wrong (they should have read the directions first). In the end (with my help and direction) the swingset was finally put together. And Colt even helped a little.

I gave my nephew Drew a much needed haircut.

We went to the lake (actually a state park) with Aunt Lil, Uncle Frank and cousins Cary and Conner. Can you believe all the deer just walking and lying around at the park.

And to top it all off, we received a concert from Colt and Stormy on the piano (David, I think they could use a few lessons).

  1. Hey girlie!I enjoyed the blog and the Adventures of Colt! It’s okay, the stains and crumbs will be distant memories in about 15 years! 😉Much sympathy about the heat and humidity. I remember it well!! Summer is sweeter here now that i know what winter will be like….Jill
