Joy and Laughter

Last week I posted about the Mother’s Day prayers that were provided in our church bulletin and I had hoped that I could share more of these with you but as you know, life kicks in and we get busy so even my posts become more random.

BUT, the second prayer on the list was for Joy and Laughter and I just have to share it with everyone.

Joy and Laughter (Nehemial 8:10, Job 8:21)
Father, help me to keep a bounce in my step and a smile on my face. Let my home ring out with joy and laughter…beginning with me. Remind me to keep a sense of humor, and never take myself too seriously.

I challenge everyone today to bring the joy and laughter back into your life. Do something that will make you laugh until you cry (if you have seen “The Bucket List” you will know what I mean). Get with a bunch of friends and laugh about how crazy everyone was back in the 80s with the hairdos and clothes. Even better, get out the pictures and really get a big laugh!

Or just sit on your back porch, listen to the birds sing, feel the breeze on your face and experience the joy of just being alive and knowing that God is in control.
