I received this Eleven Step Program from a friend at work. I laughed the whole way through, but since it involves eleven steps, I will share one a day and let you think on it.
Thinking of Having Kids? Do this 11 step program first!
Lesson 1
1. Go to the grocery store.
2. Arrange to have your salary paid directly to their head office.
3. Go home.
4. Pick up the paper.
5. Read it for the last time.
I know this will eventually be true, but for right now we are just praying the Colt will eat “table food.” We tried to transition him off baby food in a jar and after a two-day fast of only Cheerios and turkey bacon, we gave in and bought more baby food. With another one on the way, I am sure that by ages 5-10 we will find our grocery bill skyrocketing.
I am trying to remember the last time I read the paper and I honestly cannot recall! We did have a subscription to both the Dallas Morning News and the Wall Street Journal but after days of not reading the papers (and piling them up for recycling), we decided to cancel our orders. And the hard part is I love to read but rarely get the chance. The last book I read (Saving Faith by David Baldacci) was on a plane to/from Orlando for a conference. I am now waiting for my next trip to enjoy a book again.
