100,000 miles and a wedding

We celebrated our Xterra turning over 100,000 miles today. Joe opened a couple of “Grand” bars and we toasted the fact that the car has lasted this long and pray that it will last several more years. Long live the Xterra!

And our friends Bentley and Christy are now married and off celebrating their honeymoon in Napa. It was nice to see friends that we have not seen in a while as well as those that we see often. And of course, the ceremony wouldn’t have been a success without the officiant making at least one (yes, there were more) error in the ceremony. After the bride was walked onto the stage by her father and was given to the groom, the officiant forgot to tell the audience to be seated. We all had a good laugh and continued on with the ceremony.

Let me preface by saying I love our son, but it was no nice to go to an event and not have to chase him around. So many people asked where he was but for anyone with a young child, you know that trying to entertain them and ask them to sit through a wedding would almost be impossible so I am grateful to our babysitter, Barb, who does weekends.
