To all those who read my written thoughts on this blog, I want to wish you a Merry Christmas.
Not “Happy Holidays” or “Winter Holiday Break” or “Season’s Greetings.”
I am sick of people trying to be politically correct when everyone knows that the reason we have December 25 as a day off of work or school is because of a Christian holiday called Christmas. It is to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. Period.
When I am out this during this time of year shopping or going to the movies (I will share my thoughts on some great movies in my next post), I wish people a “Merry Christmas” when they smile at me or talk about the season.
I am proud to be a woman who believes in God and I am also proud that I can stand up in this country and still say Merry Christmas. I pray that we never get so offended by our faith that we are either embarrassed or it is no longer allowed by law to state the reason for this time of year.
Thank you for allowing me to step up on my soap box for this occasion.
