Shorter days, but more to do

I am not sure what the original reason for the time change in the US, but I have to say that it is difficult enough to get everything done that you need to under normal circumstances, but with the time change there is even less light to get projects completed. AND, I think it is a natural body response to sleep when it is dark so my body seems to be getting tired more often.

I haven’t found a cure for this yet, but I do know exercise can help. I have been slacking off so much since I have been working full time but I know that I need to get healthy not only for myself, but for my family. I think many people slack off in the winter time because they can cover up excess fat with clothes. But I need to put that excuse out of my head and focus on working out. Now, I just have to find the time.
We did have time yesterday to work outside a bit. Rake leaves. Plant a few vines. I realize that we don’t take Colt out often enough because when I set him in the grass, he starts crying at first. This time he did much better because I sat down with him and played in the leaves we had just raked.
And because I have been working so much and not blogging, I missed putting up pictures of Colt on Halloween. We were going to go to our church for a Fall Festival but Colt was still asleep when I got home and we didn’t want to wake him to go to the church. So we stayed home and handed out candy to all those who came to our door. I think I was more disappointed than Colt (of course he has no clue at this age) that we didn’t make it to the church so I went ahead and dressed him up anyway. He looks so cute!
