So what else happened on vacation?

Our main reason for visiting during that time was to help my family clean out my grandparents house. You may remember that my very Godly grandfather passed away last fall and my grandmother has been in a nursing home since last summer. My brother made the trip from Des Moines, IA to WV to help clean out the house, so we decided we would help. Then, all my sisters decided they would also join us at our parents house so SURPRISE, the whole family was there.

At the last minute, and I mean really last minute, it was decided (by whom I don’t know) that we would have a family picture taken. Since that hadn’t happen in ?? years, we finally gave in (only after a last minute coloring of my hair by my inexperienced sister Amanda).

I have to say that despite the fact that I was punched in the lip by my brother for not giving him the ball after a game of kick-ball; and despite the fact that I received the worst spanking of my life for taking a comb and flicking it across my sisters face on our way to church (I think she had the impression of a comb on her face all during service); and despite the fact that one sister has an attitude about everything (yes, you know who you are); despite all that…we really love each other and our times together seem to make me miss living near my family.

So here is the whole gang; mom, dad, brother, sisters, nieces, nephews and son. Together again.
