Rain and more rain

You would think that we live in Seattle, Washington from the constant rain that has hammered Texas over the past couple of months. We have have several tornadoes, thunderstorms, people killed from flash flooding, hail damage to cars and houses and much, much more.

BUT, I was just telling Joe how grateful I am to God that we have the rain. Over the past two years we have been in a drought, complaining almost daily about the lack of rain. Our plants were suffering. We were on water restrictions. Our house shifted and cracked. Some lakes were more than 20 feet below normal.

AND NOW…are lakes are full. Water restrictions have been lifted. Our plants are growing (like crazy). We can open our back door to our patio (the house has shifted back).

I have been praying for so long for rain. Over the past year, I believe that I prayed almost daily for rain. I would think of the Bible and how God said he would remember us. That if we would turn from our wicked ways and ask for forgiveness, then we would hear from heaven and God would heal our land.

I have prayed for the healing of our land. For forgiveness.
