Reconnecting with old friends

Don’t you just love it when you hear from an old friend? Someone that you haven’t heard from in a while and then all of a sudden, out of the blue, there is a note in your email, just waiting for you to catch up with them.

And you do. You just seem to pick up where you left off.

I heard from a colleague that I used to work with at a former company. We didn’t even work in the same office or even state, but we were friends.

At a recent trade show in Orlanda, I saw another former colleague, from the same company, that is now at another local company. Again, we just picked up the conversation, catching up on each other’s lives.

I cannot believe how much God has blessed me with friends. I have friends that are near and dear to me that I have known since childhood (Sheila, my best friend since 4th grade and Cindy, my best friend since I can remember). Then the next stage of my life, college (Annette, Kristy and Dee from my sorority). Then I moved to DC where I met Jill (my X-Files and shopping buddy). Then on to Dallas, where my friends abound. Bridget, from my first job here. Leslie, from church. On and on.

Friends are a treasure.
