Baby K has decided that sleeping through the night is now optional. Yes, he had been sleeping through the night since he was 10 weeks. But now, at 4 1/2 months, sleeping is not such a big deal, at least to him.

So we are going to try cereal. The doctor said that once he was not sleeping through the night again that we could go to feeding him cereal at night.

We tried that a couple of weeks ago and gave up because as a baby, of course he doesn’t know how to eat from a spoon. His mommy and daddy were not so patient so we tried putting the cereal in his mouth with the spoon then sticking the pacifier in his mouth so he would suck on it and the cereal would go down. He would still gag on the spoon so we tried feeding him the cereal with a syringe then using the pacifier. He still doesn’t know how to really eat the cereal so we gave up.

But we are desperate for sleep so we are trying again.

OH, and the BIG NEWS–drum roll–he rolled over! On Sunday, he rolled over from his front to his back and yesterday when I went to get him in the morning he had rolled from his back to his front in the crib. Our little baby is getting bigger!!
