Stay at home mom

As I mentioned before, I am on maternity leave and as I stated, hoping to learn how to relax. But with that relaxing, I have decided I don’t want to become a couch potato or someone who at the end of the day says “Now what did I really do today?”

In fact, that was my prayer this morning. Yes, I finally got to pray with my prayer partner, Patti! With the addition of Baby K, my mornings have been filled with either feeding him or sleeping. This morning I made time to call Patti and we prayed. My prayer request was that I would not waste away my time.

This is the perfect opportunity to catch up on my reading and I see a book that Katherine recommended that I would love to read called “The Most Important Place on Earth” by Robert Wolgemuth. This is also a great time to get out thank you cards for baby gift. A good time to take one room each day (or even spend two days) cleaning. Cleaning makes me feel good. I love a clean house. I can relax in a clean house.

Of course, I cannot end this without an adorable picture of Baby K. He is growing now and giving his mommy and daddy some smiles.

Here he is in daddy’s arms, sharing his smile with us.
