Over the past several weeks I have felt our little boy moving and kicking so much that I am sure my insides are bruised. When I saw my sister in July and she was this far along, she mentioned how it seemed like her baby was climbing up her ribs. With me, there is not climbing on the ribs, but kicking the bladder and stomach has left me gasping at times.
Most women say that when you get near the end of the pregnancy that you can barely breathe because the baby is pushing up against your lungs. For me, it has been my stomach. I mentioned to my husband that I feel like I am back in the first trimester where I am having trouble eating. My stomach is pushed up so much that any little thing causes indigestion and sometimes heartburn. Also, I can only eat a little at a time. This is both a good and bad thing. I don’t always feel like eating (which is not good for the baby) but on the other hand, I am not eating that much at each meal so I have only gained 6 pounds (good for me).
Today, my husband is in Daddy Boot Camp. I am so proud of him! He is so excited and wants to learn everything he can so he can be a very involved dad. I am so lucky!
