It was exciting that we had a brief rain shower yesterday. It had not rained here in Plano, Tx since the 4th of July. Our house is showing the cracks around the windows and doors. We cannot even open our patio door! We opened it the other day and spent about 15 minutes trying to get it closed and locked again. I guess we are now using the garage door to get to the backyard.

In the northeast, it never seems to stop raining! When we visited our families in VA and PA, we couldn’t believe that the grass was green, the gardens were overflowing with vegetables and the trees were luscious. My husband’s dad has a small garden that was almost ripe with tomatoes, potatoes, onions, garlic (his favorite) and other vegetables.

We keep praying for rain and believe that God will bring us what we need.
