So much, where to start…

I can’t believe it has been almost 3 weeks since I have posted a note. For a quick update of life. Brother-in-law visiting, just left this morning to go back to MN. Stepdaughter visiting for 4 weeks (now in her 3rd week) and mother-in-law and great aunt visited. On top of all that, we had a July 4th party for our Young Adults group at church with about 50 people showing up at our house. And I had to travel to Austin on business one day last week. We also went to a Frisco Roughriders baseball game and saw fireworks.

SO, as you can imagine I am exhausted! But, there is no end in sight until August 1 when we return from our trip to WV and PA to visit family and return my stepdaughter to her mom.

I will share a few thoughts then hopefully catch up with postings another time.
We just registered for baby stuff at Target and Baby’s R Us. I was so overwhelmed!!! Who knew that a baby needed so much stuff! Thankfully, I have a few good friends who are willing to help paint the baby’s room and assist in decorating. My family is throwing us a baby shower when we visit next week and we will have another shower when we return here in August. I am realizing there is much to do and little time left.

  1. REST, REST, REST! There is plenty of time. A baby doesn’t need all that much to start. If you don’t get it all done, it will still be okay. It’s not like your little one will say, “Oh, no ya don’t. I’m not coming out until my nursery’s perfect!”Enjoy this special time – don’t stress!
