Last evening I had the pleasure of going to the Fort Worth Symphony’s Concert in the Garden series. This particular evening, which included a laser light show and fireworks, was a tribute to summer blockbuster movies including Superman (original score by John Williams), Harry Potter and Stars Wars just to name a few. My brother-in-law, who has a masters degree in orchestral conducting, was a great partner for the night (since my husband was out of town) and was very kind in sharing his knowledge of music and instruments.
As you can see from this photo, there were characters from several of the movies present. The kids LOVED seeing the characters and several children asked for autographs and had their picture taken with the character.
The Concert in the Garden series is held at the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens. It is very lovely this time of year but I warn you, if you go to a concert in the Garden, bring bug spray.
