Summer Reading Program

Every day I see an add on TV for our city’s summer reading program and lately I have had a few friends that I have given recommendations for reading specific books. SO, I thought I would share these great summer readings with everyone.

1. Free to Grieve: Healing and Encouragement forThose Who Have Suffered Miscarriage and Stillbirth — by Maureen Rank
After 2 miscarriages, I have come to understand that there are many, many women out there that are facing the same broken heart that I recently faced. A friend of mine gave me this book after my second miscarriage and it really helped me to heal.

2. Wild at Heart: Discovering the Secret of a Man’s Soul — by John Eldredge
In the first year of my marriage, my husband was given this book to read. I wanted to understand my husband, and men in general, a little better so I also read the book. I highly recommend this book for any married women or for women in a relationship.

3. Diary of a Mad Bride — Laura Wolf
I read this book right before my own wedding. It is one of the funniest books I have read and it had me laughing the whole time. Highly recommended!!! Next on my list is Diary of a Mad Mom-to-Be also by Laura Wolf.

Have a great summer!
